Soldotna Progress Days
Soldotna's 68th annual Progress Days is the largest community event of the year on the Kenai Peninsula, held the fourth weekend of July, July 24 through 26. The celebration features a parade, markets, food vendors, live music, and kids activities. The parade rolls from SoHi to the Borough Building on Saturday at 11:00 AM.

Kenai River Junior Classic
The 2026 Kenai River Junior Classic is a two-day program for military youth ages 11 to 14, held August 5 and 6 in Soldotna. Day one is a classroom day covering river ecology, salmon life cycles, and boat safety, and day two is a river fishing day. The program is organized by the Alaska ASYMCA and the Kenai River Sportfishing Association.
Kenai River Classic
The 2026 Kenai River Classic is a three-day catch-and-release salmon fishing tournament on the Kenai River, held August 19 through 21 and organized by the Kenai River Sportfishing Association.
