Selling a car in Alaska
To sell a vehicle privately in Alaska, the seller signs the vehicle title over to the buyer and the two parties complete a bill of sale that records the year, make, model, VIN, sale price, and date.
The buyer then takes the signed title to the Alaska Division of Motor Vehicles to transfer ownership and register the vehicle. Check the Alaska DMV for the current title-transfer form and requirements.
