    Seward hosts one of Alaska's most celebrated Independence Day events, with a midnight fireworks display over Resurrection Bay at 12:01 AM on July 4. The day features the historic Mount Marathon Race, a grand parade, a car show, and community festivities throughout the day. The celebration runs July 3 to 5 and is free of charge.
